With just a splash of starchy-salty reserved pasta water and a hearty teaspoon of red pepper flakes, this sauce really comes to life. You can even bloom the red pepper flakes in a little oil beforehand to amp up the heat even more. It’s creamy (thanks to the parmesan and cream in it), versatile, and goes best with a thick or shaped noodle. Toss in some frozen peas or spinach and top with some crispy prosciutto, or even add in some ground turkey for a lean bolognese-esque sauce. This sauce is a tried and true crowd pleaser!
