There is a big debate about which Fire & Smoke seasoning is the best steak seasoning, and the Black & Tan fans are possibly the most devoted to their rub of choice. Black & Tan seasoning blend was designed to give beef (especially steaks and brisket), lamb, pork, and game a delicious flavor that contrasts beautifully with a rosy interior. Salt, pepper, and garlic are a classic combo, so we started there. To make it uniquely Fire & Smoke, we chose some special ingredients: black salt, coarse cracked black peppercorns, garlic, and then added a hint of brown sugar for caramelization & a hint of rosemary for some elegant earthiness.
Pro-Tip: Medium-rare is the temp you are looking for. If you go well-done, we're calling the cops.
