Al-Kawakib Ghee – Iconic Middle Eastern Vegetable Ghee

Al-Kawakib Ghee is a traditional vegetable ghee (refined palm-oil based ghee) made in Nablus, Palestine, traditionally produced by the Al Ghazal company since around 1953. It has been a renowned staple for desserts and baking in the Middle East for decades.

Its golden color (often from beta-carotene) and smooth texture make it especially popular for sweet pastries such as kanafa, baklawa, and other Levantine desserts, enhancing crispness and aroma in the finished product.

This is pure vegetable ghee (no animal fats), often fortified with vitamins A & D3, and widely used in both home kitchens and professional bakeries.
